Weight Scaling
For
clients wishing to purchase/sell forest products on a weight basis, the Bureau has
developed a PC based system for collecting and reporting weight scale. This system is
developed around the concept of having a weigh master who collects the information and
records it in the system.
The system provides a mechanism for collecting and
maintaining "Tare" weights for trucks and automatically recalls the latest value
when preparing a weight ticket. The identifier used for the tare weights is the license
plate number of the vehicle.
The system produces and stores tickets for
each load processed. At the end of the day it is capable of reporting the loads in detail
by source supplier. Summary reports are available by product, supplier and/or two
user defined data fields. These reports are locally produced and printed at the scale
location.
The data collected each day may be
transmitted to the Bureau mainframe if desired which provides the mechanism for electronic
distribution of the data to other entities interested in the scale.
The data recorded for each load includes:
* Weights (gross,
tare and net) in pounds
* Net weight in tons
* Source identities (2)
* Load receipt number (2)
* Destination Id
* Product Id
* Ticket Number
* Date and time of scale
* Logger
* User fields (3)
